Spectromancer - Mech campaign

Every time I get to a certain point in the campaign using the Mechanician, I win a match and no new opponents appear. So I am staring at the map, is says to choose my opponent, but there are no pictures of opponents. I played through from the start 2 times now. I am not 100% sure how to describe the timing. In both games I have a few (3ish) losses, and I have 19100ish Fame. The map is essentially a rectangle, with the mid and lower right coast indented, and the upper left coast is indented and there are 2-3 small islands in that upper left corner with a tornado on them. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I enjoyed the game, played through it once successfully as a necromancer and again as a cleric. Any thoughts?
