Thanks not only for the game (which has been a lot of fun), but also for greenhouse, which is a great way for multiplatform game distribution. I've been very happy with some of the new indie games available for multiple platforms lately (PA, Eschalon, Penumbra) and hopefully we'll see more of those here! Thanks for letting Linux guys play.

Thanks to the Linux support, this is the first PC game I bought in 3 years.
I hope you will keep supporting Linux in the future.

I'd like to add my appreciation to that of the other posters in this thread. I've not often seen a game released with such an impressive set of supported platforms. I had some minor issues getting this running on my x86_64 gentoo box, but now it works like a charm.

Warm thanks to Hothead and Penny Arcade for making this happen.

Awesome game. I couldn't get it to work under FreeBSD sadly, the game dumps core while trying to load the libraries from the looks of it. The ktrace was horked up pretty bad so I didn't get a good picture of what was going on. It did cause the kernel to spit out a warning before it upchucked:

Warning: pid 14658 used static ldt allocation.
See the i386_set_ldt man page for more info
pid 14658 (RainSlickEp1_bin), uid 1000: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)

Oh well. This machine is dual bootable and it's just as fun under Windows.

Apparently people over at the Linux Game Tome are giving the game their thumbs up as well:

The ktrace was horked up pretty bad so I didn't get a good picture of what was going on.

I tried with FreeBSD 7 emulating a 2.6 kernel and using Fedora Core 6 as the Linux base and I got a different result: the binary just runs in an infinite loop, using 100% CPU, but not showing any windows or making any progress (as far as I can tell). I tried to see what was going on with truss instead of ktrace but it crashed (maybe it's not meant to debug Linux binaries) so I gave up as well.

I also wanted to say thanks for supporting Linux gamers. I wouldn't have bought the game if I hadn't been able to play the demo on my Linux desktop. As it is, I'm happy to part with my $20.

Thank you for a great game!

Let me add my voice to the chorus of thanks for supporting my day-to-day use OS of choice. This made the decision to buy an easy one!
