These ads meet every criteria for a good avertisement:

::They catch your attention
::They tell you where to get it
::They provide information on the product
::People talk about the ads, thereby spreading word about the product

In short PA took one of their liabilities (poor opinions of themselves by an internet douche) and turned it into an asset.
