I have some helpful advice when you are installing the latest release. The best method is to start clean, by uninstalling the old version and running the new one as a new install. If you don't want to lose your saved games, please do the following:
Hothead Mark wrote:- go to control panel, folder options, and click on the 'view' tab
- then in 'view' select 'Show hidden files and folders' (if they haven't already, Windows defaults to hiding the save file directory for World of Goo)
- then accept the changes
- then go to your c drive path as follows to access your save file:
C:\Documents and Settings\mng\Local Settings\Application Data\2DBoy\WorldOfGoo
- copy the "WorldofGoo" directory to the desktop or wherever you deem safe
- uninstall/reinstall new version of the game
- run the game so it creates that save file directory and then put your save files back into the directory
This will ensure your save files you can continue to use.
